MMX Unveiling
JAXA have officially unveiled the flight hardware for their Martian Moons eXploration probe, or MMX for short, which will collect samples from Mars' moon Phobos and return them to Earth. The mission includes a small rover, several sampling devices, and a capsule that will be dropped into Earth's atmosphere at the end of the mission, similar to JAXA's previous asteroid sample return missions. MMX is planning to launch aboard an H3 rocket during this year's Mars transfer window, no earlier than October. [Source: JAXA]
