Launch of NVS-03

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched a Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) Mk. II from Satish Dhawan in Andhra Pradesh at 1821 UTC, or 2351 local time (IST). This was carrying NVS-03, a navigation satellite for the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System. Following the failure of the previous NVS-series satellite to insert into its intended geosynchronous orbit, this one was launched with its oxidiser valves already open to prevent the issue from occurring again. This was the 20th flight of the GSLV and the 14th flight of the Mk. II variant. [Source: ISRO]

International Space Station Activities

Pyotr Dubrov (MS-29, Roscosmos) performed semiconductor manufacturing research. Anna Kikina (MS-29, Roscosmos) evaluated some AI tools. Sergey Teteryatnikov (Crew-13, Roscosmos) used VR to investigate balance and orientation in space. Jessica Watkins (Crew-13, NASA) serviced research equipment. Luke Delaney (Crew-13, NASA) researched plant diseases. Anil Menon (MS-29, NASA) and Joshua Kutryk (Crew-13, CSA) had a light duty day following their spacewalk yesterday, and the duo have another one scheduled for next week.
