Launch of O3b mPOWER 11, 12, and 13

SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral in Florida at 1849 UTC, or 1449 local time (EDT). This was carrying O3b mPOWER 11, 12, and 13 to medium Earth orbit. This is part of a constellation of communications satellites for the Luxembourgish company SES. They use an array of individually steered spot beams to connect with ground terminals. It was the 688th flight of the Falcon 9, and the 29th flight of booster B1080, which successfully landed on the droneship A Shortfall of Gravitas in the Atlantic Ocean. [Source: SpaceX]
